The Kragthorpe Conundrum Continues

Elsewhere here at leoweekly.com, and on my web site, culturemaven.com, I contemplate the hubbub that has arisen surrounding the state of Louisville’s football program. Take your choice.

Read the entirety of the essay here.

Or read it here.

Your choice where, but be sure to check it out.

BagKrag.com has “faded”? Then why do you keep submitting pictures to us? We are stronger than ever, my man. You’re not going to get on SI.com every day.

    I’ll say it again:
Never has a coach promised so much and delivered so little (with the exception of an endless barrage of excuses) than Steve Kragthorpe. Hired to continue a solid level of success built by Howard Schnellenberger, John L. Smith, and Bobby Petrino, Kragthorpe has managed to take the work of these men and destroy it in less than 24 months.

Under Kragthorpe Louisville went from a top-10 team returning 18 starters, to a 6-6 record in 2007 and 5-7 mark in 2008.
2009 looks like 3 wins – 4 tops. Also, remember Weiss’ embarrassing loss to Big East laughing stock Syracuse? Krathorpe has two losses to the ‘Cuse during his tenure. Maybe another one coming up.

To add insult to injury, the Louisville athletic administration has offered every excuse possible for Kragthorpe’s failures blaming everybody from the players to Bobby Petrino. The administration has even gone so far as to blame fans for Kragthorpe’s failures, simply because they will not accept subpar football.

No offense to BagKrag.com. Was simply trying to make a point about how fickle the fan base is and follows something new every day. Literary license is my excuse, and I’m sticking to it. I have never sent a picture to the site.

Don’t forget the “solid level of success” built by Ron Cooper!

There was no “solid level of success” by ron Cooper that’s why his name wasn’t mentioned.

Um, the Cooper comment was a thing called sarcasm….we have Cooper part deux now.

By the way, not sure Susan Boyle is the perfect example. She just broke Amazon’s pre-order CD sales record.
