While there have been any number of really good, even great college football games this fall, it’s not been the best of seasons — so far — for the teams we love. The Cards, Cats and Hoosiers are trudging along, hoping to turn the proverbial corner this weekend.
Even The Schnell’s Florida Atlantic Fighting Owls are performing below expectations. Their 0-4 record has some south Floridians wondering if maybe Coach Voice shouldn’t join fellow Gator Stater Bobby Bowden on the sidelines next season. Ouch.
The surest sign that life isn’t just the same as it ever was is the dearth of bon mots by College Football’s Poet Laureate.
Sigh.
