While it has not yet been officially reported, and no mention of it appears on the Green Bay Packers official website yet, I’m advised that Brian Brohm already has or is going to be placed on waivers by the team.
The former Trinity Shamrock and U of L QB, once heralded as the next great signal caller never found his rhythm with the Packers.
Rumors are that he might be picked up again by the Packers — or another squad — for their practice team. It is doubtful that this is the end of his pro career, but it is a serious blow for someone whose future once seemed so bright.
Hunter Cantwell, Louisville’s starter last season at QB, was also cut by Carolina this week.
One can only hope the persevere like Chris Redman, who has gained serious second wind in Atlanta, after being entirely away from the game for several seasons.

I’m at PJ’s awaiting the kickoff of what should be an awful football game — Louisville vs. hapless Indiana State. If I get any other breaking news regarding Brohm or anything else, you’ll read it here first.
