Time Off Early For U of L Pigskinners

We’ve all heard the Mark Richt quote, right? Essentially the Georgia coach was praising Arkansas’ Bobby Petrino. He did it by noting the success of U of L football while Petrino was coaching here, and comparing that to how the Cards have fallen off the map after BP left.

Things are different indeed.

One of the reasons may just be the current regime doesn’t push the players as hard.

A source with intimate knowledge of the situation advises that the practice schedule for the team is out. The Cards open with Indiana State, then have a bye week before playing UK in Lexington two Saturdays after the opener. The source advises U of L will have three or four days off the week after Indiana State.

When I suggested that Petrino would have had them on the field every day except the mandatory off day, my source laughed. The implication being that the former regime wouldn’t even take one day off.

You think The Schnell would give the players 3 or 4 days off a week into the season.

Uh, I don’t think so.

Steve Kragthorpe is.

According to your source, does Kragthorpe still plan to get the max 20 hours of practice in that week? Or is he letting the team out of the maximum 20 hours?
