The Cards total offensive output was two solo shots by the All America third sacker. Way too little. Way too late.

Frankly it’s nothing to be ashamed of. The Titans are a really good team, very aggressive on the base paths, good bunters, fundamentally sound. Small ball. Very difficult to defend. Their first batter was HBP. They tallied four in the top of the 1st. Five for insurance in the 7th. Not that they needed it. Ball game.

But hey the red & black were Big East champs. 47-18 on the season. That’s .723, plenty fine for a winning percentage.
