North Carolina won the regular season ACC championship. They lost in the conference tourney before the title game.

Pitt and UConn — considered by every wag across the land who claims expertise to be locks for #1 seeds — did not win the Big East regular season championship. They both lost their first game in the conference tourney.

Memphis — the team nobody was talking about but now everybody is talking about — has won 298 consecutive conference games. They won the C-USA regular season championship, and the tourney on their home court. Their league consists of Schlepper State, Beaten Biscuits A&P, Teddy Bear U., Cotton Candy Tech, Sophie Newcomb, College of Computerized Cosmetology Sage Brush JC, Numerology Normal, and, in only its first year of Division I, the Kaplan University Fighting Mavens. Coach Cal and his Tigers should be most proud of their unbelievable achievement.

Which brings us to U of L. Which is the only BCS conference school to win the regular season championship. And make it to its conference tournament title game.

If the Cards win, Selection Sunday is going to be very, very, very interesting.
