Selection Sunday is 11 days away and there are sooooooooo many questions to be answered.
If Louisville wins out, do they nab a #1 seed? If they lose to West Virginia (or, for heavens’ sake) Seton Hall, and don’t make it to the final of the Big East tourney, do they fall below a #2? How far? Will the 33 point smackdown at Notre Dame come back to haunt them in the committee’s selection process?
Will U of L get to play in Dayton and Indy so the locals can follow their fortunes in the flesh?
Will UK have to win the SEC tourney to make the Dance? If the Cats don’t make it, how many will be in Rupp for their first NIT tilt? And will the Cats’ NIT finale be Billy Clyde’s Bluegrass Farewell?
Who else makes it from the SEC besides LSU and any other team that wins the conference tourney?
Is Tyreke Evans good enough to lead Memphis State to the Final Four? And beyond?
Does Willie Warren make that much difference on a Sooners team that bowed by 30 in last year’s tourney?
Is Duke capable of making more noise in the tournament than the Blue Devils have in recent seasons?
Will a team other than UConn, Pitt or Carolina win it all?
Who will be the sleeper team(s) in the Final Four?
What underrated league’s teams are going to rear their heads and skew everybody’s brackets?
Will CBS make smart decisions when switching from game to game in the first three rounds? Will they feature Gus Johnson on play by play as they should?
Do we miss Billy Packer? (Okay, I’ll answer that. NO!)
Will Clark Kellogg’s cute aphorisms, so enjoyable during his halftime musings, wear thin while doing color?
