Johnny Spugs, Bellarmine’s SID, wrote to advise that Braydon Hobbs, the Knight leading scorer who almost has a real flattop, also leads all of Division II in assist to turnover ratio. For the season, Hobbs has 60 assists and just 8 turnovers. For a ratio of 7.5. Glossy.
And, as the student section advised Bellarmine’s latest victim, Southern Indiana’s Screaming Eagles, “He’s A Fresh- Man!”

Hobbs reminds me of a current day Pistol Pete Maravich(spl?)—he might not be as flashy as Pete but he is very good—–
Spugnardi needs to do a better job of touting my beloved alma mater. It’s not just D-II. Hobbs actually leads all three NCAA Divisions (I, II, and III) in assist-to-turnover ratio, or at least he did up through a week or so ago when I last checked the NCAA stats site.
